Currently August 2015
Yes, it's late again! Really! I don't like being late! I hate it! It makes my stomach hurt. Sadly, it's becoming my norm though! What can I say? I'm sorry! You'll all forgive me though won't you? It's been crazy! I'm loving the boat theme. We never made it to the beach this summer. :( I'm hoping a weekend away with the hubs after school starts! We are planning on embracing this empty nest stuff! OK - I can't rehash all the stuff that is in there. You can read it and it's self explanatory. I just wanted to get August up! Thanks for reading!
I feel exactly the same way about being late! Absolutely stresses me out! Clearly we are in the same boat, since I just posted today, too... Oops! About your mom, I hope you find peace and sink back into a new routine soon. Making those types of decisions can be SO hard, I've been there recently with my husband's grandfather and your heart can just break. Just know that as long as you had the very best intentions, everything will be alright! :)
ReplyDeleteI went through a long illness and eventual nursing home/hospice with my own mother almost 15 years ago, so I understand the rollercoaster of emotion that you are riding. Deep breathes are what you need now to re-focus and relax. I've been working on my house, classroom, life in "short spurts" so that I don't get overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteBoth of my children are out of college now, but I remember how hard it was to shop, pack, and move them into their freshman dorm. I cried the entire ride home after saying goodbye to both of them. They circled back often though, and will always need you.....no matter what.
Stay strong my friend!

You ladies are wonderful! These kind words certainly helped get me through the first couple days of a "new" normal. It is the best place for mom and I'm sure she is better now than she was in her home. The kids are doing well at college. Well, I'm assuming no news is good news! Thanks for the support!
