Carson Dellosa Everyday Fun and Game Cards



Everyday Fun and Game Cards are fun! What a great treat for kids! What a fun way to review and learn! This double set of cards is a great addition to the family and to the classroom. The cards are hooked together so you don’t have to worry about them falling all over the place. The cards are divided and color coded (I heart color coding!) by different topics – jokes! (Oh my! Once they learn how to tell a joke- there is no going back!) , math – counting, shapes, sets; fun facts – how great to make connections with on vacation or just around; language arts- beginning sounds, matching letters, finding letters, sequencing; word play – rhymes, opposites, categories;  and puzzles – matching shadows, same pictures, finding hidden objects. These are jam packed!! That was all in one pack people! The other pack has more of the same great stuff! Total of 158 cards! WOW! They are nice and laminated already – you could use a wipe off marker on them if you wanted to do that. The answers are on the back in a different color – in case you don’t know what color a lobster’s blood is! ;)  These would be great for families in the car on trips, in restaurants, waiting at the doctors, etc. I think they would be great in the classroom too- fillers waiting till everyone gets to the rug or filling in a few minutes waiting for lunch, or even for the question of the day every morning! The Closet Abyss!This is the closet with the language arts materials - alphabet recognition, rhyming, beginning and ending sounds, sight words, oh my! It was looking better till I bought more stuff and tried to put it in here! It is somewhat organized- rhyming stuff on one shelf, abc stuff on another, sight words on another, for the most part!This is the only large cabinet I have like this. :(   Is it any wonder why I don't use all that I have? Chapter 3

What should your math work stations, look like, sound like and feel like?   I have not done math stations this year. That is the plan for next year:) I hope they look like the ones in this book!! lol I do want to make sure that I MODEL all the materials before I put them out in the stations. I want them to be a great place for the students to work and learn and have fun. What does your management board look like? I will be making a pocket chart- I think. I will be using their pictures for the board. I want to see some more ideas from all the other great bloggers. How do you support math vocabulary (math talk cards) in your stations?   WOW - do I need to work on this. I have thought about making a word wall of sorts with math vocab. I want to add more of this and make sure that it is included in the stations. February Currently

It's February!!!  Oh my! It's February already! January went by fast! And we had NO snow days! A few delays and one early dismissal but no snow days! I'm glad! We have several built into the calendar and I would like those off. Then I can do what I want and have fun. I know! Snow days are fun too!
