Valentine's Day Mini Bulletin Board Set

OK where does life go?? How is it February? How is it half way through February?? I have written this post and about 20 more in my head. I just can’t find the time to get them on paper. I am really shocked how busy life can be even when the kids have left the house! OH MY! I keep thinking that every week, I will get there….and then I don’t. I’m sorry – I feel like I start off every post like this. I don’t know how some of you do it! Hats off to you!
On to more important things…

Valentine’s Day may be over. But the Mini Bulletin Board set from Carson Dellosa is still A-DOR – ABLE! There are 56 pieces in this ‘mini’ set. I think that is not so mini!  What a great set to use for the holiday or for a unit on writing letters! Or for a Random Act of Kindness bulletin board. They even give you some cute ideas for using it too! It will make a great full size bulletin board.

There is a sweet mailbox – don’t kids love getting mail! We, as adults, only think of mail as bills. It is fun to actually get a letter! This would be a great to leave notes for the kids. I can see this set as a great positive reward or showing off great work! My kinders would love to get a note that they can read now.

This set includes a header, signs, mailbox, bee accents, heart accents and student pieces that look like little envelopes. I do like these “mini” sets – you can do tons with them and make them go as far as you want. I know some rooms have small bulletin boards – so perfect. And yet, a larger bulletin board – once you add the student work or art work -it would fill right up. I love the colors too – bright but not overly bright.

So all in all. Another win! Cute, practical and fun! And can be used for more than just a holiday!

I am using the @Carson-Dellosa Publishing Big Gun Ball Machine Bulletin Board set. It is very colorful and cute!   It came with the gum ball machine, an overlay for the machine door, a bubble gum header and 32 gumballs in bright colors.   It also has a reproducible of a gumball machine. I am using it in my classroom as an incentive for reading! I have written the student’s names on the gumballs. I put the names on with clips. I emailed all of the staff at my school and let them know about this bulletin board as you walk into my classroom. Clutter Free Classroom Assignment

The Closet Abyss!This is the closet with the language arts materials - alphabet recognition, rhyming, beginning and ending sounds, sight words, oh my! It was looking better till I bought more stuff and tried to put it in here! It is somewhat organized- rhyming stuff on one shelf, abc stuff on another, sight words on another, for the most part!This is the only large cabinet I have like this. :(   Is it any wonder why I don't use all that I have? AND when summer gets here - everything in the classroom has to be packed away - which means even more is shoved into all these closets! This is above the hooks for the kid's coats. It is organized but not pretty. These cabinets hold my literature. The bags are letter bags. I have one for each letter. The other stuff on top is stuff that doesn't fit into a cabinet. STEM Challenge

STEM! I love doing hands on activities with the students! Always have. Just ask the husband who has made, carried, or bought tons over the years. He’s a keeper! Anyway – I was a little nervous at first when Carson Dellosa sent me their new Stem Challenge cards. The box said Grades 2-5. L I teach kindergarten.   But guess what??? They will be fine for us! They will not be independent cards, but we can still use them! The CCS have upped the rigor for science, so my teaching BFF’s and I have been working through what we need to add and change. These will be great! There are two different versions – STEM Challenges and STEM Challenges Seasonal. So I opened up the seasonal first. Three tabs in the box – Spring/Summer, Winter, Autumn. I was thrown off when there was nothing behind the Autumn tab. Then I realized that the cards are in FRONT of the tabs. (I may have been sitting outside in the sun too long!
