Oh Carson-Dellosa you have read my mind again! As many of us move to Guided Math, this is a great resource! It is divided into the five topics of math – Counting and Cardinality, Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Number Operations in Base 10, Measurement and Data and Geometry. 20 activities in all! It is already laminated! Hands up people! Once less thing to do on the list! Cut and go! The ONLY thing other than this book you will need is a write on/off marker! Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! There is even a check off in the back for you to check off which student has done which activity. There is one for students also. The mats are color coded so you know which piece goes with which mat – not that they EVER lose a piece, but just in case! The directions are not hard for them to follow either. If you use it in a guided math group first, then move to independent practice – they will be set! Looking forward to using this tomorrow – and it won’t take forever to prep! YEE HAW! The Closet Abyss!This is the closet with the language arts materials - alphabet recognition, rhyming, beginning and ending sounds, sight words, oh my! It was looking better till I bought more stuff and tried to put it in here! It is somewhat organized- rhyming stuff on one shelf, abc stuff on another, sight words on another, for the most part!This is the only large cabinet I have like this. :(   Is it any wonder why I don't use all that I have? Chapter 3

What should your math work stations, look like, sound like and feel like?   I have not done math stations this year. That is the plan for next year:) I hope they look like the ones in this book!! lol I do want to make sure that I MODEL all the materials before I put them out in the stations. I want them to be a great place for the students to work and learn and have fun. What does your management board look like? I will be making a pocket chart- I think. I will be using their pictures for the board. I want to see some more ideas from all the other great bloggers. How do you support math vocabulary (math talk cards) in your stations?   WOW - do I need to work on this. I have thought about making a word wall of sorts with math vocab. I want to add more of this and make sure that it is included in the stations. February Currently

It's February!!!  Oh my! It's February already! January went by fast! And we had NO snow days! A few delays and one early dismissal but no snow days! I'm glad! We have several built into the calendar and I would like those off. Then I can do what I want and have fun. I know! Snow days are fun too! But I'm hoping not to lose the make up days at Easter cause I don't want to use too many personal days! lol Well, this is always fun to link up with Farley at  http://ohboy3rdgrade.blogspot.com/2015/01/currently-february.html LISTENING - yes, the Super Bowl is on!
