One of these days I will make it on the first of the month! lol Not my All Star that's for sure! I love LISTENING to the quiet in the neighborhood from my back patio! It is one of my favorite places in of the house! We got some great new adriondack chairs and a fire pit this summer. :-) The new dining table is coming soon to match too! Can't wait! I will cry when we have to put it all away MONTHS from now! I do LOVE school! I just LOVE not having a set schedule in the morning! I have gotten better at getting up for school over the years - two kids and working 25 years will do that to a person! lol But oh- to just get up whenever (the kids take care of themselves now!), work out (if I feel like it), eat breakfast on the porch, read the newspaper, read facebook. It's just such a relaxing way to start the day! I'm THINKING I need to stay home and get some stuff done on that list! haha That is the fun of summer though- spontaneous trips and visits! I...
1. How do you (or will you) differentiate your math stations? {I added this from the bookmark...sorry} This is something I will need to make sure is happening when I start math stations in the fall. I liked the idea of color coding - so the kids would know what items they would need. 2. How and where do you keep your math stations? I think after I reorganize all my math materials, I will be able to use a rolling cart with 2 shelves for this. It holds some of my math materials now. I know I have enough bins or containers to make the stations. :) 3. How do you keep your math materials organized.? Well, I have a very small cabinet with some materials. I have a rolling cart with containers of materials. I have some other containers on top of another cabinet. These were mostly for math stations. I often thought "wow, these are great but there is some wasted space in the containers." I know that we will be looking at some of the materials this week in school. I will be getti...
Storage. Organization. Important! Let’s make it pretty too! These two pieces from carson Dellosa are all of that! I love having a schedule chart for the students to see. I have kindergarteners. They like to know when recess, lunch and snack are. OK so do I! LOL The pocket chart does not take up much room. I can put the cards in the pockets, adding a pop of color. I can write on the cards or I can write on the pockets. How clever is that! We know that schedules change, especially as the year progresses with the students. So wipe and redo. Simple! You could use it for other things though too. It has 12 pockets. You could use it for center chart. You could use it to keep track of where everyone is – nurse, bathroom, speech, etc. You could use it for words/vocabulary. You could use it for a pocket chart center – put the poem in order. This one goes pretty much with all decors. This will also help keep us on that schedule – correct? haha The file f...
